Soul Train creator Don Cornelius dies

The man who created Soul Train which was an American musical variety show that aired from 1971 to March 2006 has died with police saying from a self-inflicted gun-shot would. There is no details at the moment but it is thought he committed suicide.

Over the 35 years that Soul Train ran, the show mainly featured of performances from R&B, soul and hip hop artists and later claimed that it was one of the longest-running nationally syndicated programs in television history with over 1,100 episodes produced.
